Traffic and air quality monitoring
Our smart solution consists of an innovative idea we plan to develop with the help of LoRaWAN Technology in our testing laboratory, “Thinkubator”, at the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology from Targu-Mures, Romania.

Our idea is based on a smart solution, where we plan to use our know-how regarding LoRaWAN Technology. Therefore, with the help of different sensors, we want to track and monitor various data such as temperature, humidity, air quality and density of population based on bluetooth devices. For this, with the help of the 3D printer, we plan to build our own unit box, which will include hardware parts, such as sensors along with the antenna and the batteries needed for the well-function of the device. Next, we plan in placing it in strategic places, in areas with high-density traffic on a daily basis. After a set period of time, we will collect the data from the device and repeat the steps from another location. The process will help us in witnessing the possible pollution coming from the heavy traffic and from the existing chemical works aswell, both affecting the city and its residents.

The project’s place of operation is our testing laboratory that we call “Thinkubator”, where we develop ideas and test various solutions. The testing site is part of the university and is situated in the middle of Transylvania in the city of Targu-Mures, Romania. The laboratory is fully equiped with late technology equipment helping the students that take part in the Student Entrepreneurship Society’s calls to come with innovative ideas and put them in practice.
